Simultaneously characterization of tumoral angiogenesis and vasculogenesis in stem cell-derived teratomas

چکیده

Tumor neovascularization may occur via both angiogenic and vasculogenic events. In order to investigate the vessel formation during tumor growth, we developed a novel experimental model that takes into account differentiative tumorigenic properties of Embryonic Stem cells (ESCs). Leukemia Inhibitory Factor-deprived murine ESCs were grafted on top chick embryo chorionallantoic membrane (CAM) in ovo. Cell grafts progressively grew, forming vascularized mass within 10 days. At this stage, are formed by with features representative all three germ layers, thus originating teratomas, germinal cell tumor. addition, ESC supports neovascular events recruiting host capillaries from surrounding tissue infiltrates mass. Moreover, immunofluorescence studies demonstrate perfused active blood vessels avian origin because simultaneous occurrence conclusion, ESC/CAM-derived teratoma represent useful approach growth for study natural synthetic modulators two processes.

Vasculogenesis and angiogenesis in embryonic-stem-cell-derived embryoid bodies.

Embryonic stem cells (ESC) have been established previously from the inner cell mass cells of mouse blastocysts. In suspension culture, they spontaneously differentiate to blood-island-containing cystic embryoid bodies (CEB). The development of blood vessels from in situ differentiating endothelial cells of blood islands, a process which we call vasculogenesis, was induced by injecting ESC into...

The characterization of CD marker profile of breast milk-derived stem cell

Background  The mammary gland in humans is a dynamic organ that undergoes significant developmental changes during pregnancy, lactation, and involution. Stem cells derived from human breast milk possess the adult stem cell-like characteristics such as self-renewal, proliferative and differentiate potential. This source of stem cells avoids invasive procedures and the ethical controversy of emb...

Signal transduction in vasculogenesis and developmental angiogenesis.

The vasculature is a highly specialized organ that functions in a number of key physiological tasks including the transport of oxygen and nutrients to tissues. Formation of the vascular system is an essential and rate-limiting step in development and occurs primarily through two main mechanisms, vasculogenesis and angiogenesis. Both vasculogenesis, the de novo formation of vessels, and angiogen...
